Filmic Research

One of the most common processes of my project includes some kind of research into films that have been produced. Seen as most of the great recognizable movies have their origins born out of someone literature I believe this is the closest representation to the thoughts of the author when they first wrote there book, cinema also appeals to audiences on a mass scale which proves the nature of a novel can be much more than words but a cinematic reality as such.
So my choice of Stanislaw’s Lems Eden was a wise one in a sense that the world hasn’t been portrayed just yet, there is such a wide range of inspiration I can draw upon but the list could go on forever here are a few of the films that’s has helped me on this journey, they range from the 1950s to present day.

  1. Planet of the apes (2001)
  2. Avatar (2009)
  3. 2001: space odyssey (1968)
  4. Star Wars (1997- 2008)
  5. Pitch Black (2000)
  6. Alien (1979)
  7. Starship troopers (1997)
