Scene Effects

Atmospheric Particles Test from Raj Dhillon on Vimeo.

The scene tests show here have been producing in order to capture an essences of the kind of features I’d like to add to my scene, bringing it more alive as things may seem a bit static such the overall composite, what I’m looking to include is a sense movement in the major areas of interest smoke coming from the starship because of its collision into Eden, atmospheric particles within the forest environment to give a picture of life and other extra effects I’ll cover later. I’m looking to limit the effect as it will affect the render time scale of the final composition.

I have discovered a unique way of creating the terrain for my environment. With this process I am able to configure the texture within Photoshop and applying this directly into Maya with the addition to alter it if needed. These are a few aerial space samples of two kinds of craters, depending on the resolution of the texture the more detailed the terrain shall appear to be. I’ll form a displacement map with the oil textured I had made earlier in project.

Extra effect on the scene include, the use of depth of field via after effects, inhaling/exhale of the lung trees in forest scene in Maya.
