For our narrative project it was decided to create Q based on the character from the Film Up 2009 (Carl Fredrickson) previously watching with the guy on the course, they both share the same style of character being around the same age as well as having similar dress sense from 60s period this fact fits in well with the whole concept of the design.
Before starting on the actual character I started drawing Carl Frederickson just to understand the shapes and forms that have been used, Pixar have a great way of limiting down the shapes to get the best affect out of the character whilst maintaining expressions etcetera.
