John Foster and Korky Paul MONSTER POEMS

The John Foster and Korky Paul - MONSTER POEMS hase arrived, at first glance of the children’s poems I noticed a few that have gained my attention more then others, yet another possibly here and material to work around. The content of the book has a collection of poems based on the monster theme.

Assessing the way which I could perhaps take these pieces of text, I thought about the original cg/real world combination and think with these poems for example I need to consider using another medium of just cg, if the decision was to use these I think this would result in a better outcome. Need to think outside the box as well as keeping with the initial idea.

I was just reading the 'Tell me it isn't there' poem; if you took an HD camera and properly set up a scene in a domestic environment - a bedroom scene say, in which you combined physical effects (i.e. using fishing wire to move an object under the blankets, or to pull a chair across the room, or knock something over) with a cg creature, you could certainly produce something from these poems; I think you need to start thinking like a filmmaker, as opposed to a cg guy; you're looking for a real world envelope in which to house your cg; I suggest you start location scouting with a digital camera...

I think that poem is personally the stronger and realistically more viable one to go for as well. Also I like this idea of ‘physicals affects’ which is along the line of an idea I could run with. The location isn’t an issue either my brother’s bedroom is a perfect place to start recording the only issue I have right now is equipment wise finding a HD camera and stuff hmm…

P.s have you had the chance to read my framing practise essay?

UCA has HD cameras you can use... Yes, sorry, I have looked at your essay and I've had some ideas re. structure and a more clear thru-line: let me gather my thoughts and I'll post something meatier here.
